Welke maat Giro Agilis MIPS moet ik nemen?
Meet je hoofdomtrek met een meetlint net boven je wenkbrauwen en oren. Maat S past bij 51-54 cm, maat M bij 55-58 cm en maat L bij 59-63 cm. Zit je precies op de grens tussen twee maten, kies dan de kleinste voor een strakkere pasvorm of de grotere voor wat meer speling; het Roc Loc 5-systeem kan binnen een maat nog het nodige bijstellen.
Wat betekent MIPS en waarom zit dat op deze helm?
MIPS staat voor Multi-directional Impact Protection System: een dunne laag tussen de EPS-voering en de padding die bij een val een beetje meebeweegt. Daardoor worden zijdelingse en rotatiekrachten beter opgevangen, wat de kans op hersenschade bij een val verkleint.
Moet ik mijn helm vervangen na een val?
Ja, vervang je helm altijd na een val, ook als je van buiten geen schade ziet: de schokabsorberende EPS-laag kan intern beschadigd zijn en beschermt daardoor minder goed bij een volgende klap. Op Giro-, Lazer- en Bell-helmen geldt de Mantel Helmet Replacement: raakt je helm binnen 3 jaar na aankoop beschadigd door een val, dan kom je in aanmerking voor een vervangingskorting op een nieuwe helm.

Wat is het verschil tussen de Giro Agilis MIPS en de Giro Isode MIPS?
Beide zijn racefietshelmen van Giro met MIPS, maar de Agilis heeft een compactere, meer uitgesproken pasvorm en het uitgebreidere Roc Loc 5-systeem.
